Evidence Informed Approaches to Clinical Practice in Suicide Bereavement

A rare opportunity for clinical practitioners

Suicide bereavement is one of the most complex presentations a clinician can encounter. Clients carry grief that is often layered with guilt, shame, unanswered questions and a disrupted sense of narrative. Standard grief frameworks were not designed for this. Evidence-informed practice in this area requires a specific clinical foundation.

Dr Janet E. McCord visits Melbourne for a single full-day workshop, bringing two decades of graduate-level teaching in thanatology and direct clinical experience across more than 15 countries. This is the only opportunity to learn from Dr McCord in person in Australia in 2026.

The workshop is designed for counsellors, psychologists and social workers providing direct therapeutic support to people bereaved by suicide.

Places are limited to ensure an intimate, hands-on learning environment.
